Manual Installation on IOS

Step 1: Prepare for Installation

• Log in to your Unbound SIM account

• Open My eSIMs

• Tap the eSIM you want to activate to view more details

• Tap Install your eSIM and tap Start Installation for Automatic installation 

• Alternatively tap Manual for Manual Installation

• Choose your manual installation method: QR Code or Manual Entry

• Tap View instructions for manual installation steps and view your eSIM Activation Code

If using the QR Code method, open your installation page on a second device or print it so your device can scan it.

If your iPhone or iPad is eSIM-compatible and unlocked, you can activate your Unbound SIM directly—no QR code or separate app required. Before you begin, ensure you’re connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network.

To start, retrieve your SM-DP+ address and activation code from your Unbound SIM account dashboard. When you have those details ready, follow the steps below:

1. Open Settings
   
   
2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Data
   
   
3. Tap Add eSIM
   
   
4. Select Use QR Code, then choose Enter Details Manually
   
   
5. Enter the SM-DP+ Address
   
   
6. Enter the Activation Code
   
   
7. Enter the Confirmation Code (if one is provided)
   
   
8. Tap Next and wait for activation to complete
   
   
9. When prompted, assign a label (e.g., “UnboundSIM”)
   
   
10. Tap Continue through the configuration prompts
    
    
11. Choose the primary line for calls and messages
    
    
12. Select the line for iMessage & FaceTime
    
    
13. Set your Unbound SIM as the Cellular/Mobile Data line
    
    
14. Disable Allow Cellular Data Switching
    
    
15. Tap Continue to finish setup

Manual Installation on Android (Samsung)

Samsung Devices

Not all Samsung Galaxy models support eSIM, so you should first verify that your device is eSIM-capable and network-unlocked. If you’re unsure, check your device documentation or contact your carrier for confirmation.

Once verified, activating your Unbound SIM is simple. Just sign in to your Unbound SIM account through any browser to access your eSIM details.

Step 2: QR Code Installation

1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM
   
   
2. Tap Scan QR code from service provider
   
   
3. Scan the QR code shown in your Unbound SIM account
   
   
4. Tap Add
   
   
5. After installation, go to Settings > Mobile Data and set the new eSIM as your data line
   
   

Step 3: Manual Installation

If you’re unable to scan a QR code:

1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM
   
   
2. Tap Enter activation code
   
   
3. Paste the activation details from your Unbound SIM account
   
   
4. Tap Connect, then Add
   
   
5. Once installed, return to Settings > Mobile Data and select the eSIM for data

Manual Installation on Android (Google Pixel)

Google Pixel Devices

Before installing your Unbound SIM, confirm that your Google Pixel model supports eSIM and is fully network-unlocked. If you’re not certain about compatibility, check your device’s documentation or contact your carrier for verification.

Once verified, activating your Unbound SIM is simple. Just sign in to your Unbound SIM account through any browser to access your eSIM details.

Step 2: Install via QR Code

1. On your Pixel, go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs
   
   
2. Select Set up an eSIM
   
   
3. Scan the QR code saved, shared or printed from your Unbound SIM account by using your camera or tap > Scan from photo
   
   

Step 3: Install Manually

If QR code installation isn’t possible:

1. On your Pixel, go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs
   
   
2. Select Set up an eSIM
   
   
3. Choose Try these troubleshooting steps
   
   
4. Select Enter activation code
   
   
5. Paste the activation details from your Unbound SIM account

Seeker Devices

Step 1: Prepare for Installation

• Tap the eSIM you want to activate to view more details

• • After installation, go to Settings > Mobile Network  > + to manage your eSIMs and enable/disable as needed

• Alternatively tap Manual for Manual Installation

• Choose your manual installation method: QR Code or Manual Entry

• Tap View instructions for manual installation steps and view your eSIM Activation Code

If using the QR Code method, be sure to share the QR to save it or send to a second device or print it so your device can scan it.

Step 2: QR Code Installation

• Go to Settings > Network and Internet > + > Add SIM

• Tap Set up an eSIM > Scan from photo

• Scan the QR code saved, shared or printed from your Unbound SIM account by using your camera or tap > Scan from photo

• Tap Set Up

• After installation, go to Settings > Mobile Network  > + to manage your eSIMs and enable/disable as needed

Step 3: Manual Installation

If you’re unable to scan a QR code:

• Go to Settings > Network and Internet > + > Add SIM

• Tap Set up an eSIM > Enter activation code

• Paste the activation details from your Unbound SIM account

• Tap Set up

• After installation, go to Settings > Mobile Network  > + to manage your eSIMs and enable/disable as needed
